Meet some of the Farnham BID team as we host a Q&A - 28th Feb

Business improvement districts are often seen as an effective way in which businesses can take control and improve their trading environment. BID’s are funded and controlled directly by the businesses that pay for them. As a Farnham business that pays levys and are in the geography of the proposed BID, if voted in, you would choose which projects the BID fund is spent on.

Since 2004 when Government passed the Business Improvement Legislation, there have been over 300 successful BID’s in the UK, which over the next 5 years will generate over £100 million in investment.

The Farnham BID may well raise between £100-300k p/a through a levy that could potentially be raised through contributions. More details can be seen here. The planned a timescale is a vote in Qtr 2 2023 for those applicable business rate payers.

We are delighted some of the BID team will be at our first 2023 event for our members*,  so come and meet the BID team, and learn more about an important and relevant opportunity for Farnham businesses.

28th February 18:00-19:30 at the Castle Inn, Castle Street, Farnham.

*Members can apply for a ticket for themselves plus a guest.
